EuPFI22 - Successful hybrid conference

The European Paediatric Formulation Initiative (EuPFI) successfully convened in-person annual conference for the first time since the pandemic, with the 14th annual conference, EuPFI2022, that took place from 20-22nd September in Rome, Italy. It was an event dedicated to formulating better medicines for children. It was aimed at creating a common platform for researchers, scientists, and students at the crossroads of drug development and paediatric considerations, to share ideas and innovations, and to facilitate fruitful discussions on recent innovations that will spur advancements in paediatric drug development. We are delighted that after successfully convening last 2 conferences virtually to keep professionals abreast of developments during the pandemic. Old participants were once again able to meet in person and make new friends. We are pleased to get back to what we do best by welcoming this important conference. It was a significant moment to be on the cusp of opening our doors to a major conference. One of the things we learned during the pandemic was that providing a virtual option really makes the conference accessible to people who would never be able to attend our programs in person. Hence, a hybrid conference with both online and in-person options was provided and was successful. EuPFI 2022 showcased the recent developments to improve the paediatric medicines landscape and and looks forward to seeing all again in Dublin next year #EuPFI2023 to make a positive difference towards addressing the unmet medical needs of children.
