The European Paediatric Formulation Initiative (EuPFI) Conference 2023 on ‘Formulating Better Medicines for Children’ organized in partnership with the International Association for Pharmaceutical Technology (APV) was held on 19 – 21 September 2023 in Glasgow, United Kingdom

With more than 150 delegates from 21 countries, the conference fostered productive discussions on leveraging recent innovations and progress in global paediatric medicine development. Distinguished scientists from prestigious institutions worldwide presented scientific talks, shedding light on key aspects of paediatric formulation research. The focus of EuPFI is to encourage collaborative ideas for better drug products tailored to children. This conference serves as a crucial platform for knowledge exchange and to influence the future of paediatric formulations to meet children’s specific needs. 48 posters were displayed, providing a forum for students and early-career scientists to communicate their research, ideas, and findings

The enthusiastic engagement of attendees was pivotal in ensuring the success of the conference, which garnered exceptionally positive feedback. It served as a significant platform for our EuPFI colleagues to captivate audiences through podium presentations, poster displays, and engaging discussions, impressively showcasing their research under the discerning scrutiny of fellow experts. A heartfelt thank you extends to our presenters, sponsors, exhibitors, scientific organizers, session chairs, poster judges, conference secretariat, volunteers, and all those who lent their support to the conference. Also a special thanks is extended to the attendees who brought their specialised knowledge, intellectual rigour, and boundless enthusiasm to the event.
